Our history
We were responsible for bringing the first Tensioned Screens to Brazil in 1993. It soon became clear that the Brazilian market had its own particularities, our way of designing environments, our aesthetic sense… everything here was very unique.
Brazilian creatives needed a brand that looked at our own way of designing architecture and lighting, thinking up innovative solutions, not just copying international formulas. That’s why, in 2000, our company established itself as an original brand, Tensoflex®.
In its early years as an independent brand, Tensoflex® showed what it was here for. It innovated by creating the removable system, an exclusive solution for the maintenance of lighting elements by the client themselves, with the simple removal of the screen, without the need for specialized staff and other accessories. It also developed a new series of fastening profiles to replace complementary metal structures, which allowed more sophisticated shapes and pieces to be made.
Today, Tensoflex® is the leader in Brazil and a favorite among architects and lighting designers. Driven by creativity and demand from specifiers, it has expanded its operations to become an international brand, with representation in Latin America and the United States.
In 2023, we launched a new logo, renewing our vows of partnership, trust and innovation. We pay homage to our past without taking our eyes off the future.
