The tensioned screen is a lighting solution made from flexible plastic films with high molecular memory and flameretardant additives . Because of its composition, it is an excellent option for diffusing light and closing off a niche.
The Tensoflex system, in turn, is made up of tensioned mesh and aluminum profiles specially designed to meet the needs of each project. As such, all the profiles are designed to perfectly fit the screens, which are used in walls, ceilings, metal structures, plaster niches and other surfaces. Generally, the profiles are fixed by screwing or gluing around the perimeter of the niches, whether plasterboard, joinery or metal, and the installers fit the screens once the lighting has been completed.

1) How does the lighting on Tensioned Screens work?
To generate a specific lighting effect, better known as the “skylight effect” or homogeneous lighting, installers place the screens at the bottom of the niche, illuminated by LED strips or tube lights, the latter of which are falling into disuse. Thus, based on the project specifications and lighting requirements, our team indicates the quantity, power and color temperature.
This amount of lighting depends directly on the effect you want to use in your project. It can be very soft and diffuse for decoration or very strong, to illuminate the whole room, without the need for other types of lighting.
There is also the option of perimeter lighting, which generates a graded light, stronger at the edges of the screen and dimmer towards the center. This light is more decorative than functional.

Durability
The screens are antistatic, so they prevent the accumulation of dust or grease, as well as being a washable material that doesn’t yellow over time, maintaining regular maintenance. They also come with a 10-year guarantee.
3) Is it possible to remove or replace the screen without having to call Tensoflex?
Yes! For small and medium-sized translucent screens, the main option is the Removable System, where the customer has total control over opening and closing the screen, simply and without the need for special accessories or equipment.
In the case of Fixed System projects, we offer technical assistance services. In addition, our teams are available for technical support visits on request and by appointment.
4) How does the Tension Screens quote work at Tensoflex?
For quotes, our experts need some information:
– Contact details of the person responsible for the project: name, telephone number and e-mail address, so that our technical department can get back to you if there are any questions.
– Send the project files: preferably in DWG or quoted PDF formats
– Inform the location of the installation: City and State
– Confirm whether the lighting elements should be included in the quote: if so, confirm whether the light will be homogeneous or perimeter. If homogeneous, state the depth of the niche and the power of the LED strips.
– Additional information: you can send more guidelines and project details. The more references the better. Remember that if you don’t have any of the above information, you can talk to our experts.
5) How do you work with Printed Screens in your project?

For screen printing, the image file must be sent with a minimum of 300dpi, at actual print size.
6) How Tensoflex Acoustic Screens work
The introduction of perforations of controlled diameter and spacing on the tensioned fabrics transforms the Tensoflex system into an important sound absorber. It manages to add aural comfort to all its aesthetic and functional advantages.
The insertion of pet wool sheets in the assembly enhances the sound absorption characteristics, according to results obtained in the laboratory.
