In the world of architecture and lighting, Tensoflex® tensioned screens stand out as an innovative and sustainable option thanks to a combination of properties that make the material unique and environmentally conscious.
Tensoflex® screens are made from flexible plastic films with high molecular memory and flame retardant additives, with self-extinguishing material, i.e. it does not spread flames. The base of this material is not derived from petroleum and its composition is based on sea salt.
The flexibility of this material makes it possible to develop projects with varied shapes, colors and finishes, allowing for great creative freedom and exceptional lighting effects.
The manufacture of the screens is in line with the concepts of Vinyl Plus, created by the European community with the aim of promoting the sustainable production of PVC by 2020.
This initiative began in 2010 and has established a structure capable of collecting and recycling more than 250,000 tons of PVC a year. It is also able to replace additives such as cadmium in the manufacturing process.
Tensoflex® has an A+ rating in the Émission dans l’air interieur, which measures the emission of volatile pollutants, created by the French Ministry of Ecology.
Components of the Tensoflex® System
The Tensoflex® System is made up of tensioned mesh and profiles made from aluminum, a material that is highly reusable. This makes it a system made up of sustainable materials with a long service life, thanks to the technology used in the extrusion of the plastic films, the aluminum profiles and the protection of the metal parts.
Due to the composition of its materials, the installation of the system is practical and generates small volumes of dust and waste. The fitting of the profiles and screens does not normally require moving furniture, objects or other equipment.
